Chief Executive Officer of Commonwealth Games Federation David Grevemberg to Kick Off Conference as Keynote Speaker
All In Sport Consulting, presenter of the Adapted Sport Leadership & Business Symposium (LABS), today announced the move online to a virtual one-day conference on October 15 due to concerns around COVID-19. LABS, originally scheduled for Oct. 5-7, 2020 in Denver, is designed to elevate the adapted sport industry and unite its leaders from across the country through idea sharing, cutting-edge thinking, and collective growth to achieve the vision for all to experience the transformational power of sport. Despite the pivot to a virtual conference, the LABS 2020 vision remains the same. LABS is free to attend and registration is open at: adaptedsportlabs.com/register.
“We created LABS with the goal of uniting leaders from the disability sport community and beyond to have the conversations necessary to bring the experience of adapted sport to more people,” said Dawna Callahan, founder and CEO of All In Sport Consulting. “As we move virtual, we are more focused than ever on offering a diverse, dynamic lineup of cutting-edge educational sessions highlighted by David Grevemberg, CEO of the Commonwealth Games Federation, who we are thrilled to welcome as our keynote speaker to launch the conference.”
Grevemberg will kick off LABS 2020 with a keynote discussion on “Building a Movement for Social Change with Sustainable Impact and Benefit.” Grevemberg is CEO of Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), the organization responsible for the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games. Previously, he was CEO of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (Glasgow 2014 Limited) and Executive Director of Sport and International Federation Relations at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) in Bonn, Germany.
Grevemberg joins an exemplary slate of adapted sport industry leaders and influencers set to present cutting-edge educational sessions throughout the one-day virtual conference. Speakers include:
- Cheri Blauwet, MD, Assistant Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School, attending physician at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Paralympian

All In Sport Consulting has also teamed up with Huddle Up Group and professional national research agency Stitch Marketing Research to conduct a first-of-its-kind Adapted Sport Economic Impact Survey intended to gather data related to the adapted sport movement and how it contributes to the U.S. sport economy. Survey results and data will be presented for the first time during the LABS virtual conference. The full conference agenda and speaker lineup are being finalized and will be announced in the coming months. A sampling of the LABS 2020 programming is available at: adaptedsportlabs.com/schedule.
LABS was created to complement versus compete with current adapted sport industry conferences, but is unique in its level of disability representation. Callahan, an adapted sport industry athlete herself, brings authentic personal experience complemented by decades of corporate and nonprofit professional experience to the conference. She conceived the concept of LABS after conversations with industry thought leaders, disability advocates, athletes, and others who expressed the common notion that expanding the adapted sport movement would require uniting those within the industry as well as reaching beyond it. LABS uniquely seeks to include both perspectives from outside the industry along with disability representation in every session.
